I’m Losing Weight, and I’m Really Scared!

Recently, I went to my doctor, and my doctor told me I am overweight for my age and height and that there are things developing that would not serve me long term. He put me on medication for type 2 diabetes, which runs in my family, and it scared the dickens out of me. Then I learned more about how what’s sitting around my gut is dangerous for my health.

Then, I had a little bit of a come to Jesus meeting when I went to Walgreens to get a prescription filled, and they told me for this particular prescription costs $395! So all of the sudden, my neck snapped back and I thought, “Wait a minute. If I lose weight, maybe I don’t have to pay $395 for medication that I don’t want to take anyway!”

As life would have it, I was introduced to a customer called Ideal Protein, and I had become friends with their executives. I started their protocol which is administered by a doctor and a health coach.

At first, I thought, “No, I don’t want to do it because I would have to give up all of the things I LOVE.” I love French fries, I love friend chicken, I love anything that is greasy and will send you to heaven a little bit sooner. But I realized there were some things I needed to cut out of my diet like sodas, white sugar, and white flour.

At first I was really scared, because my diet has been like it has been forever, and I thought that I was losing control. I realized I use frequent traveling as an excuse not to eat properly. And what I realized is; if I am going to get healthier for my children and for life in general, brilliant living starts with brilliant weight loss.

I am now losing weight, and it’s all because of diet. For example, I am learning to love water now!

When I received the news that I was losing weight, I thought, “You know what? This is totally doable.” My goal is to lose about 50 pounds. My main motivation is getting healthy for my family and getting healthy for myself.

Stay tuned! My weight loss journey has only just begun.

I lost 50 lbs. in 3 months on IP. If you don’t cheat, it will change your “life”-style forever. I finally tailored one of my suits to fit my new size. The fear of regained weight (and supporting new twins) is why I haven’t tailored all of my clothes. I’m approaching a year of maintaining my current weight. I’ll eventually lose more once I start the protocol again. The first 50 lbs. were life-changing enough to regain my health and confidence. Good luck Simon! You got this! I look forward to seeing less of you next time!

Keep up the good work Simon!! Life is not a sprint, it’s a marathon! Getting healthier is about not only wanting to live longer, but actually maximizing your quality of life throughout those years, instead of staying alive thanks to medication and medical interventions!! Kudos to ya!!

Congratulations, Simon! No matter how much weight you lose, your smile will shine as brilliantly as ever. I lost 22 pounds last December, and have kept it off all this year. It’s a challenge to eat right 90% of the time (gotta occasionally fit in hot apple pie!). If anyone can do this, it’s YOU!!!

It really isn’t too difficult Simon. Like the other guys commenting, I lost over 40 pounds; gratefully it was simple and easy. You quickly adopt new eating habits. Every once in a while I reward myself with good fried chicken though now consider french fries overrated. On the other hand, as David wrote, a piece of excellent pie… For me the meal replacement shakes called Premier Protein at Costco did the trick. I’m cheap! Sounds like you found a product that works for you.

You don’t mention exercise. I’m 72 and am running 3 miles daily out in the desert and doing it well under 30 minutes. Having a dog helps. Dogs are good coaches, they never let you get away with not getting out there.

And about water, not all waters are created equal. There’s no space to get into it here, but we know very little about water – the fact it has a memory and is one of the most effective carriers of energy for example. I founded a company that has a patented process for using specific frequencies to change the resonance of water for particular purposes. As Tesla is famous for saying, “if you understand frequencies, you understand the secrets of the universe.” If you write me with your address, I’ll send you something that will change the resonance of the water you drink causing it to hydrate you much deeper and faster. Hydration has to happen within cells and between cells. I’ll leave that up to you. Congrats!
